The Laarish app
The app carries a learner’s work from one week to the next: short lessons, one guide that asks rather than answers, scans of their phygital book pages, and what to do next. There is one app, with an edition for each stage of the journey, and every edition reads the phygital books of its stage.

What it does
- Lessons
- Short recorded lessons watched before a session, so time with the kit is spent making, not listening.
- One guide
- The learner talks to one guide, by text or voice. It asks rather than answers, and returns one review: what we know, what we assume, what is still uncertain, and the next small experiment.
- Page scanning
- Every page of a phygital book carries an ID, so a handwritten page is scanned into the learner’s record. The thinking stays on paper; the continuity lives in the app.
- Progress and next steps
- What was done, what comes next and, for schools, a dashboard designed for the teacher or principal.
The rules it is built on
- Joyful, never manipulative: no streaks to protect, no dark patterns, no advertising in the child experience.
- The guide supports; it never has the final word. Mentors review the decisions that matter.
- For young children the app guides the parent. Children’s editions have no open chat.
- Physical first, digitally enhanced. Never the other way round.
